Jon has been fighting one of the effects of being a long-time guitar player; Trigger Finger, for some time now. He finally decided that he wasn’t able to ‘fix’ it on his own and let his guard down enough to see a Physical Therapist. Megan, the PT, helped ease some of the pain and stiffness, but told him he would need to see an Orthopedic surgeon. Following good advice has always been a strong point of Jon’s, so on Megan’s recommendation he made an appointment with Dr. Hammon at TOSH in Murray, UT.
Well, the deed was done and now Jon is back on the road to recovery. Dr. Hammon took excellent care of Jon’s hand and heart, working to ease his pain as well as huge concerns for continued ability to play his beloved guitar. Students (and fans♥) of Jon’s… rest assured, his hand will be fine! The road to recovery will be far less miserable than the last few months have been.
Our circle of friends has been once again enlarged to include the wonderful staff at TOSH. We are ever grateful for the VERY apparent comfort and guidance of a loving Creator. The people that are ‘thrown’ into our lives and paths are not there by coincidence. We were meant to be a part of each other’s lives.
From Jon, and all of us at Starchild… Thanks for your love, support, prayers, hand-ups, and even sometimes ‘hand-outs’ that keep us grounded and on the correct path in life.
UPDATE: Jon is healing well and has begun rehearsal for the big show coming up in June. Come see The Jon Dansie Band at the Tour de’ Cure in Brigham City, UT on Saturday, June 12, 2010.
