Are you interested in having one-on-one guitar lessons with the #1 top-rated guitar instructor in the state of Utah? Jon Dansie is the man for you! With over 35 years of experience playing, performing, and teaching guitar, Jon will share his love for music and help you to achieve your highest potential. Jon has students of all ages and skill levels. He will work with you to create custom lessons tailored to your needs and abilities. When you enroll in lessons with Jon you will enjoy his undivided attention for either 30 minutes or an hour each week. Your lesson time is yours! Jon will help you to progress at your unique pace until you are enjoying those “Aha” moments on a regular basis.

You may pay here for your monthly lessons with Jon. Payment options include credit/debit cards or Paypal. To pay for lessons with Brandon or Jonelle, please contact them directly, they each have their own tuition payment practices.

JONELLE DANSIE

Jonelle (Jon’s daughter) is part of our FANtastic teaching staff here at Starchild! She is an amazing ROCKER CHICK and an even more amazing teacher, so, if you have ever wanted to start taking guitar lessons, NOW IS THE TIME! Get YOUR spot on her schedule-you deserve it!

  • Jonelle is a full-time school teacher and has taught for 15 plus years, so she knows her stuff (and kids!)
  • Jonelle has been playing guitar for many years with two of the best role models/teachers in the biz–so she knows guitar!
  • Jonelle’s faves are fingerpicking and bar chords…
  • Jonelle LOVES teaching young kids the guitar! There is an amazing link between music and academics…you’ll see a big difference in your child’s performance in school when they take music lessons!

To make an appointment with Jonelle, you may call her directly at 801-550-5184 or send her an email @ swallowedinthesea@msn.com. *For young children, we recommend a meeting before the first lesson to help children feel comfortable! Her rates for lessons are $20.00/ half-hour lesson ($80.00 per four lesson month, $100.00 per five lesson month). Jonelle does her own billing through Paypal. She will be teaching Tuesdays through Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

BRANDON DANSIE

Brandon Dansie is available for lessons at the Starchild location on a first-come, first-serve basis. His schedule is loaded but there is always room for more! If you are interested in making an appointment with Brandon for the Starchild location, or on one of his other teaching days, please contact him directly at 801-419-3962. We are working on getting set-up to take online tuition payments for Brandon as well, stay posted! Typical lesson schedules:

30 minutes, once a week. Cost is $80.00 for 4 week months and $100 for 5 week months. Your lesson will be scheduled on the same day/time each week.

1 hour lessons, once a week. Cost is $160 for 4 week months and $200 for 5 week months. Your lesson will be scheduled on the same day/time each week.

Please note;

All tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Tuition is to be paid in full for the entire month and is ALWAYS due the first lesson of each month. In the case that tuition in not paid in full on the first lesson of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be added to the normal tuition balance. This also applies when a student must miss the first lesson of the month. If a lesson will be missed because of a vacation, illness, etc. tuition still needs to be paid and a make-up lesson will be arranged. One make-up lesson will be allowed per student, per month. At least 24 hours notice is required when a student must be absent for a lesson. This 24 hour notice policy is also required if a student needs to move his/her lesson to a different day/time. If this notice is not given, the student will still be charged for that lesson.  Discontinuation of lessons: At least 30 days notice is required when a student must discontinue lessons. If this notice is not given, the student will still be held responsible for the following month’s tuition. There will be NO tuition reimbursements upon discontinuation of lessons.
